  13.     - Win JPEG is included as the default image viewer instead of Paint Shop,
  14.         which couldn't handle JPEG files.

  20. Known Bugs
  21.  
  22.     - The Toolbook list box can't seem to handle more
  23.     than 130 lines(?).  Therefore, if you turn to a 
  24.     Gopher page that has more than 125 items, you are
  25.     warned that only 125 will be received.  Doesn't
  26.     seem like you would want Gopher pages with that
  27.     many items anyway, ie we lose our simplicity!

  29.     - Actually drawing the items on the screen is 
  30.     SLOW!  If you notice, the mouse cursor turns from
  31.     a black hole to an hour glass.  The hole represents
  32.     network activity, the hourglass local activity.
  33.     Its interesting to note that most of the time, the
  34.     network activity is much faster than the local.  Hmmm.

  36. Bug fixes
  37.     -  "Calls nested too deep..." message.  This was caused
  38.     by users double-clicking to open the book (or to
  39.     flip back a page) instead of single-clicking.  Users now
  40.     HAVE to double-click, which makes more sense in the     
  41.     Windows world anyway.

  43.     -  WAIS databases without selector strings were not
  44.     being queried correctly and most times died with a 
  45.     General Protection Fault.  The correct selector string
  46.     should be sent now.

  48.     -  The telnet application (as specified in the Options/Configure
  49.     dialog box) was being passed bad parameters.

  82. Installing The Gopher Book

  84.     1)  Copy GOPHBOOK.ZIP to an appropriate directory
  85.     2)  Execute PKUNZIP.EXE -d GOPHBOOK.ZIP.  A subdirectory named
  86.         GOPHBOOK will be created containing the files indicated
  87.         in RELEASE.TXT
  88.     3)  From the Windows Program Manager, select 'File', 'New'.
  89.     4)  Select 'Group Item' and create a group named "Gopher Book 1.0"
  90.     5)  Again select 'File', 'New'.
  91.     6)  Select 'Program Item' and enter the following information:
  92.         Description:  The Gopher Book 1.0
  93.         Command Line: <path>\GOPHBOOK\TBOOK.EXE GOPHBOOK.TBK
  94.         Working Dir: <path>\GOPHBOOK
  95.         Shortcut: None
  96.     7)  Double click on the icon and start Gophering!
